Devocean
Sea turtles are among the oldest surviving species on the planet, with a history dating back more than 110 million years. That’s pretty historic! Unfortunately, the 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic in our ocean pose a particular danger to sea turtles. The entire sea turtle population could be wiped out by pollution, poaching, and boating activity in the next few years. This creates a dire need for ocean conservation.
Devocean’s unique beach-themed apparel, jewelry, and accessories are intended to raise awareness about ocean conservation – specifically the growing fragility of marine habitats. Devocean strives to encourage people to take immediate action.
The products illustrate Devocean’s vision of a world where our oceans are clean and free from pollutants. Products include beach glass bracelets, ocean theme necklaces, sea turtle bracelets, and beach towels.
Devocean donate 20% of their net profits to the FAU Marine Research Lab at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and the nonprofit organization Friends of Gumbo Limbo. Programs such as these have been instrumental in saving thousands of vulnerable sea turtles.
